MonoStent Monocanalicular
Stent

More Information
(PDF
Format - Instructions)
EagleVision introduces the MonoStent Monocanalicular
Stent for use in repair of lacerated canliculi. Developed with the help
of James S. Linder, M.D., Memphis, TN, the MonoStent consists of a
50mm length of medical grade silicone tubing with a modified FlexPlug
for immobilization at one end. Supplied sterile, pre-loaded on a
malleable stainless steel stylet, making insertion quick and easy. The
stylet provides enough rigidity to advance the stent as far as the
nasolacrimal duct if desired.
The opaque color of the FlexPlug makes it possible to
visually monitor the stent. EagleVision used the FlexPlug to anchor the
stent because it was designed to provide superior patient comfort and to
minimize extrusion. This means stitching may not be necessary. In most
adult cases MonoStent can be removed in the physician’s office.

Tube outer diameter is 0.9mm.
